The Lunite Governor Seat is probably the most coveted position in the Sol System that is not linked to one corporation in particular, but instead works with every corporation in the sector to reign over and regulate the ideal corporate society for the most discerning and wealthy citizens in the Sol System.
Artists, celebrities, top executives, and the bloodlines that can be traced to the first founders of corporate life as we know it today can all be found living in the most luxurious colony in the entire system: Luna Colony.
With extremely exclusive living conditions, and exquisite experiences to the most demanding tastes, Luna Colony has been known to hosting extravagant parties, as well as witnessing historic multi trillion Sol Credits deals, but not only that as Luna Colony has had its fair share of important decisions that had to be made for the good of Lunite Society. Decisions that for outsiders of this lush society can come across as harsh and even harmful to the rest of the Sol System, one man can be credited for the prosperity of Luna Colony for the past six years, and that man is Anthony L. Bancroft.
Traced to the legendary Bancroft Family all the way to the 21st Century, incumbent Governor Bancroft has ran the day today operations to Luna Colony as a massive banking corporation by keeping its share holders happy, and its investors even happier. The Bancroft Banking Conglomerate first suggested and executed the inclusion of the Sol Credit as the universal currency we use to day, and has been a close conglomerate to Sol Bank and the New Geneva Economic Council. Governor Bancroft not only enjoys exuberant wealth, but also has the acumen and the edge to multiply it day by day, and is by his "Old Blood Money" platform that he has increased Luna Colony's fabulous wealth by 24% during his tenure.
Enter Wayne Thomas Russell, an unexpected and unlikely contender to Bancroft's current position. Wayne Thomas Russell is a very unlikely and unexpected man in every sense as he is not born to a legendary family, and he is a self made trillionaire as well. Having been born in the dubious Sky City known as New Vegas, Russell thrived with his "Never say never" attitude and soon his efforts paid off in what many would describe as "Dubious Methods", not content with his current success, Wayne Thomas Russell aimed even higher and did what many considered to be impossible: Bought his way into Lunite Society, and by 2481 he was granted Lunite Citizenship and an A-10 Wealth Rating, the highest rating awarded to anyone in Lunite Society.
By 2486 Wayne Thomas Russell was granted a seat in the Lunite Government Council, and has been working side to side with Governor Bancroft, he is considered to be a radical corporate politician and his outsider methods oftentimes clash with Bancroft's more conservative views. However, and with time, despite how controversial and radical Russell's approaches have been, he has won the sympathy and support of many in the Government Council, and in January of this year Wayne Thomas Russell officially and formally presented his bid for Governor.
Will radical views benefit Luna Colony more, or will the conservative and cautious approach prevail?
The elections will be held in Luna Colony's Governor's Office on April 10th from 8 AM to 6 PM (Standard Luna Time), please be advised that only Lunite Citizens with an A-5 Wealth Rating or above are allowed to cast their votes.
