Historic First Action: Luna And Geneva

Luna Colony is still reeling from the greatest upset victory in its history as the new Governor, Wayne Thomas Russell, defeated Anthony Bancroft in the past elections. Massive celebrations were had, and Governor Russell assured all Lunites that things would change under his administration in ways that had never been seen before, and it seems he has started full force.
For the past five days the Governor has been in New Geneva, meeting with the Council of New Geneva. At the time, the topic of the meetings was confidential, however now that the Governor is returning to Luna, we have learned the very controversial topic, and the very shocking resolution.
Governor Wayne Thomas Russell has successfully negotiated a deal with New Geneva that would effectively have New Geneva withdraw its influence and control over Luna Colony, effectively turning the Office of the Governor into its sole ruling body. This is incredible considering that unlike Mars, this has been accomplished without the need of war and bloodshed. While the Governor was unavailable for comment as he was in transit, ONN has obtained an exclusive statement by New Geneva Elder Councilor, Michael Nikolaidis, on the matter.
"Luna Colony is seeing the dawn of a new day, thanks to Governor Russell's brilliant and passionate intervention, New Geneva believes that Luna is a paragon of corporate society and agrees to give full power to the Office of the Governor to rule over Luna Colony and make the decisions that best benefit the Lunite Society.
While New Geneva will still have business interests in Luna Colony, as any and all large corporate organizations, we are confident we can work together with Governor Russell for a better, and brighter corporate future. Thank you."
ONN has been told that more changes may already be underway for Luna Colony, as a project for an elite holopark was cancelled and in its place, the docks of Luna Colony are being expanded, even more shocking is that the Governor has already secured the exclusive dock contract with one corporation to run main logistics and security: Vulca Group.
Vulca Group is mired in controversy, you may recall back in February that they dissolved their contract with Free Company and abandoned Earth Site X-17 hours before a Jericho V Fragment destroyed it, however, it appears that the level of corporate confidence is high enough to grant them an exclusive Lunite Contract, the feeling is that with Vulca Group not being in control of Luna Colony will mean that they will work better and more efficiently as they are watched by the Office of the Governor.
The new and expanded docks are said to increase Luna Colony's capacity and status into not only being the pearl of corporate society and wealth, but also an up and coming power in macro logistics, as we report, the Office of the Governor is securing commercial routes to all Floating Cities, Colonies, Space Stations, and even planets.
As we reel from these incredible news, we are told that there may be even more changes in the months to come.
