Dr. Alice Winters, MD, Director of Medicine announced her retirement on February 27th, 2493. Dr. Winters served a long and prestigious career throughout various megacorporations: ARES within its Cybernetic Engineering department in 2471, Alternative Technologies as a cybernetic consultant and installer in 2489, Morpheus Group as in-house medical staff and Corporate Delegate to New Geneva in 2490, and Genetectic as Director of Hospitals from 2490 to 2493. Her career accomplishments include the development of several psychiatric mitigation measures to treat and prevent cyber-psychosis and post-traumatic stress, development of Cradle and Cradle-Ex Cranial and cognitive augmentation systems, and spearheading the distribution of the Black Tenet vaccine and cure.
In her departure letter, Dr. Jovan Dior, MD, was named Manager of the Medical Pavilion on Cocoon Station, Genetectic’s flagship health care facility. Dr. Dior started at Genetectic in 2392 within its residency program and obtained fellowship in addition to status as a board-certified physician within the following year. He is currently the lead of research pertaining to identifying and resolving threats to public health.
Among the changes at Genetectic, the megacorporation recently experienced a boom in workforce. The newly acquired staff are eager to respond to medical emergencies and augmentation requests of Cocoon Station, Luna, and even Mars. As part of a newly defined outreach program, Genetectic will publicize openings for patients to find a physician suitable to their needs. Residents of Cocoon Station are encouraged to make appointments as soon as possible, for bookings are filling up fast.
