The Odin, an ARES convoy of material from an orbital refinery, has gone down in flames on its way to the floating city of Neu London. It is suspected the vessel had an explosion originating from improper storage, causing casualties. As a medical transport was deployed to tend to the wounded, a pirate ship had attacked just in time. A coincidence that makes authorities suspect the original explosion was done in a plot to overtake the vessel. Then causing heavier damage to The Odin and attempting to steal the resources of the convoy.
Strangely enough, there are reports of an unknown fighter vessel that came to the rescue and drove the pirate ship off. Authorities have no reports of the identity of this fighter ship, and no one has come forward in claiming responsibility.
Authorities have been able to identity the pirate ship as The Raven, originally a transport ship reported missing months ago. A bounty has been place on The Raven and its crew, for 1 Million Credits. The bounty is of no surprise given the piracy activity increasing among previous reports. The Raven is now considered a highly dangerous vessel, and any citizens who are not seeking this bounty should stay away and report to local military or mercenary corporations to handle.
